Vice-Senior General Soe Win attends 19th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting-19th ACAMM

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win at 9.10 am local standard time on 26 November attended the opening ceremony of the 19th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting-19th ACAMM together with Army Chiefs of ASEAN member states at the KD Hang Tuah Ballroom of Casa del Rio Hotel in Malacca, Malaysia.

First, Malaysian Chief of Army General Dato' Seri Panglima Hj Ahmad Hasbullah Bin Hj Mohd Nawawi and Minister of Defence of Malaysia Mr. Mohamad Sabu delivered opening addresses. Professor of Technological University of Malaysia Dr. Azmi Bin Hassan discussed security perspective view on non-traditional threat and Indo-Pacific, followed by bilateral discussions by the ASEAN Army Chiefs on the topic.

Afterwards, Assistant Chief of General Staff (Intelligence) Col. EDWARD CHEN of the Singapore Armed Forces read out the approval on the security matters of the 1st ASEAN Armies Information Sharing Workshop held in Singapore from 3 July to 5 July 2018.

Next, Lieutenant Colonel Rozaini Bin Adlat, Malaysia Army Shooting Team Manager, presented the draft of the New Concepts in connection with AARM 2019.Army chiefs at the meeting approved the continuation of the current procedures.

Later, the Army Chief of Malaysia handed over the commemorative flag to the Army Chief of Indonesia that will host the meeting in 2019, followed by the closing ceremony.

Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General posed for documentary photo together with the Chief of Army of Malaysia and other army chiefs of ASEAN member states and delegates.
