The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win together with Army Chiefs of ASEAN countries attended the closing ceremony of the 28th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet-AARM 28th held in Terendak Camp in Malacca, Malaysia, at 9 am local standard time today.
First, the Vice-Senior General and the Army Chiefs of ASEAN countries watched the final match of rifle shooting of the Thai team, the first prize winner from Group (A),and the Thai team, the second prize winner from Group (B).
The Vice-Senior General then participated in Noventy shoot together with the Army Chiefs of ASEAN countries and delegation member senior officers and posed for a documentary group photo.
The prize-presentation ceremony followed. Malaysian Chief of Army General Dato Seri Panglima Hj Ahmad Hasbullah Bin Hj Mohd Nawawi presented prizes to winners in individuals and groups, addressed the closing ceremony and handed over the commemorative AARM flag to Lieutenant General Tatang Sulaiman, the Army Chief of Indonesia, which will host the 29th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet-AARM 29th. The Indonesian Army Chief accepted the commemorative flag and extended greetings.
The Vice-Senior General presented cash awards to the medal winning team and shooting team representing Myanmar’s Tatmadaw in the AARM, gave a cordial speech and posed for a documentary photo together with them. The Myanmar Tatmadaw shooting team secured two gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal in AARM 28th. Myanmar stood fourth in 10 participating countries.
