The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, together with Army Chiefs of ASEAN member states, attended the dinner hosted by Malaysian Chief of Army General Dato Seri Panglima Hj Ahmad Hasbullah Bin Hj Mohd Nawawi and wife in commemoration of the closing ceremony of the 19th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting-ACAMM 19th at the KD Hang Tuah Ballroom of Casa del Rio Hotel in Malacca, Malaysia on 26 November evening.
Present at the dinner together with the Vice-Senior General were the Army Chiefs of ASEAN member states and senior officers of the delegation. First, the Malaysian Chief of Army extended greetings. Then, the Vice-Senior General enjoyed the dinner together with Army Chiefs of ASEAN member states. Malaysian Army Band entertained the guests with ASEAN songs during the dinner. The Malaysian Chief of Army presented souvenirs to the Vice-Senior General and Army Chiefs of ASEAN member states, and posed for documentary photo.
Before the dinner, the Vice-Senior General and delegation enjoyed the sunset view of Malacca city.Malacca city is located in Malacca State which is the second smallest state in Malaysia. Lying in the south of Strait of Malacca and Malay Peninsula, the state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The state has Malacca port which is the most famous port in Malaysian history.
Malacca city is its capital. Before 1377, Malacca was just a fishing village governed by a sultan. It became a main port under the rule of Malay Sultan Parameswara in 1396. Malacca became the UNESCO world heritage site on 7 July 2008. Malacca was a successful trading port till 19th century before it fell under colonialism. It had become a Portuguese, Dutch and British colony. Bukit Cina hillside, Cheng Hoong Teng Temple, Sultan’s Well, Portuguese Square, Malacca Museum, ancient naval sailing ship museum, A Famosa Theme Park, Malaka Sentral, Menara Taming Sari and Kelebang Besar, Tanjung Keling and Tanjung Bidara beaches are the famous places of Malacca.
