ELEVEN MEMBERS OF KKO SPLINTER GROUP OF SAW KYAW THET LED BY SAW PO NGE, WITH THE RANK OF AN ARMY CAPTAIN, RETURN TO THE LEGAL FOLD

Eleven members of KKO splinter group of Saw Kyaw Thet led by Saw Po Nge, with the rank of an army captain, returned to the legal fold at the local battalion in Myawady, Kayin State, together with 13 assorted small arms and related equipment this morning.
They exchanged arms for peace and came back to the fold as they wanted to abandon the armed struggle line, to pursue a peaceful and normal life and to develop their family life within the legal frame-work. Col Naing Aung and military officers of Thingannyinaung Station welcomed and greeted the eleven members led by Saw Po Nge who returned to the legal fold, and accepted the arms and the related equipment. Then, necessary assistance was provided to persons who returned to the legal fold.
