Tatmadaw columns capture further outpost of Assam and Kathe insurgents, arms and ammunitions

Some Assam and Kathe armed insurgent groups in the disguise of NSCN (K) group were deploying their strength at NSCN (K) outpost near Takar Village in Naga Self-Administered Zone of Sagaing Region and its surrounding areas.
As such, Tatmadaw columns went there and have been performing proper security measures starting from 29 January and occupied based outposts and are going on taking regional security measures, a statement reported on February 3.
While Tatmadaw columns were carrying out proper security measures, the Tatmadaw seized 15 weapons of different kinds, ammunitions and related items about 1,600 meters in the west of Takar Village on 4 February and 80 magazines of different kinds and personal items at the same place on 5 February. Moreover, the Tatmadaw occupied further outpost about 8,000 meters in the southwest of Takar Village.
The Tatmadaw columns will continue taking security measures for ensuring illegal armed insurgent groups do not infiltrate into Naga Self-Administered Zone and the prevalence of regional stability and peace.
