Nay Pyi Taw February 10
The Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services halted military movements for ensuring ceasefire and eternal peace on 21 December 2018 for enabling the Tatmadaw to strive for achieving eternal peace but MNDAA insurgent group committed recruitment of new members nine times and movements beyond the designated area six times in Kunlong Township by taking privilege of halting the military movements. As such, Tatmadaw columns on duty of taking security measures in the region skirmished with about 100 members of MNDAA insurgent group which arrived at the place 13,000 metres southeast of Mone-kyet Village in Kunlong Township on 8 and 9 February to recruit new members and occupied a camp where the insurgents temporarily stationed.
