Vice-Senior General Soe Win meets trainee officers from Fort Bahtoo, officers, other ranks and families from Nawngwoe, Kengkham, Mongpyin

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win met with officers from Bahtoo Station, trainee officers from commanding officer of infantry regiment, company commander and platoon commander courses and cadets at Aung San Hall of Tatmadaw (Army) Combat Force School (Bahtoo) in Fort Bahtoo this morning.
Also present together with the Vice-Senior General were Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the commander of Eastern Command and senior military officers from Bahtoo Station.
In the meeting, the Vice-Senior General gave a detailed elaboration on efforts to learn military skills as they are Tatmadaw members, further training for continuous progress, efforts to acquire military skills required at prescribed levels, use of these military skills in a practical field, efforts to try to become good leaders capable of winning trust and reliance of superior department and subordinates and shouldering of duties in accord with the mottos “Always undergo training, always have military awareness and always be combat-ready” and “Bravely march, bravely fight and bravely crush enemy.”
He then gave instructions on peace process, organization tasks in and outside the military units and do’s and don’ts. The Vice-Senior General and party went to the local battalion in Nawngwoe. At the battalion office, an official reported on regional security measures and the Vice-Senior General left instructions on ensuring regional security and prevention of timber smuggling.
The Vice-Senior General met with officers, other ranks and families in local battalions in Nawngwoe, Kengkham and Mongpyin.The meetings were attended by Daw Than Than Nwe, wife of the Vice-Senior General, Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Eastern Command and officials.
At the meetings, the Vice-Senior General instructed those present to efficiently spend salaries invested with their lives, adjust their expenditures between income and spending, strengthen unity in military units, build mutual trust and reliance between officers and other ranks, prevent illegal timber extraction, participate in beautifying the military units and carrying out four military building tasks and emphasize better lifestyle for healthy situation. The Vice-Senior General also explained situation of the four-month unilateral ceasefire of the Tatmadaw to perform peace talks, and efforts of the Tatmadaw to achieve eternal peace. After asking requirements of the officers, other ranks and families, the Vice-Senior General coordinated with officials for attending to the needs.
After the meetings, the Vice-Senior General presented foodstuffs for officers, other ranks and families of respective battalions. Daw Than Than Nwe, wife of the Vice-Senior General, presented funds for the maternal and child welfare associations and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), fiction and non-fiction books and sports equipment.
The Vice-Senior General and party cordially greeted officers, other ranks and families from respective battalions and inspected progress of livestock breeding tasks, welfare shops, barber shops, libraries and food shops of local battalions.
