Vice-Senior General Soe Win receives Director of Joint Operations of Royal Thai Armed Forces

NAY PYI TAW July 18

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received Director of Joint Operations Lieutenant General Suphot Malaniyom of the Royal Thai Armed Forces at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa here this afternoon.

Also present at the meeting together with the Vice-Senior General were senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). Director of Joint Operations Lieutenant General Suphot Malaniyom of the Royal Thai Armed Forces was accompanied by officials.

At the meeting, both sides cordially discussed friendly relations between the two governments and two armed forces as Myanmar and Thailand are good neighbouring countries, cooperation and exchange of information between the two countries for peace and stability in border region and narcotic drug eradication, cooperation of both countries based on mutual respects,honesty and trust in jointly solving the issues, and successful holding of Myanmar-Thai Senior Staff Talks.

After the meeting, the Vice-Senior General and the Director of Joint Operations of the Royal Thai Armed Forces exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for a documentary photo together with delegation members.
