Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife arrives back from India

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief(Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife left India for home at 10.30 am local time today after attending BIMSTEC Army Chiefs’ Conclave in Pune, India, and touring India on a goodwill visit at the invitation of General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, and wife. The delegation was seen off at Kolkata airport by officials of the Eastern Command of Indian Army and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Thein Zaw and wife.

The delegation led by Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife arrived back in Yangon from Kolkata airport via Gaya airport of India in the evening.

The delegation led by the Vice-Senior General and wife was welcomed back by Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Thet Pon and senior military officers, Deputy Chief of Mission Dr. Sumit Seth of the Embassy of India to Myanmar, Naval Attaché Captain Manmeet Singh Khurana and officials at Yangon International Airport.

Senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) who accompanied the Vice-Senior General and wife as members of the delegation also arrived back on the same flight.
