Heat-resistant ceramic tiles laid on platform of Inlay Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda with collective donations of families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air)

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing while attending the ceremony to present a glass pagoda collectively donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) at the chamber where Buddha Images are placed of Inlay Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda in Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State (South) gave a guidance to replace tiles of the floor of the pagoda platform with heat-resistant ceramic tiles.In accordance with the guidance, the work of replacing the floor with heat-resistant ceramic tiles started on 16 May 2019 and completed on 28 September. The work was carried out with the collective donations of families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and supervision of the Eastern Command Headquarters.
The area of the path on the pagoda compound and platform where replacement took place is 81,260 square feet. The area on which the original tiles were laid is 4,778 square feet. The laying of heat-resistant tiles lowers the temperature of the floor and ensures convenience of local people and pilgrims.
