Vice-Senior General Soe Win attends opening ceremony of 20th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting-ACAMM XX

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, who is in Indonesia, attended the opening ceremony of the 20th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting-ACAMM XX at Trans Luxury Hotel in Bandung, Indonesia, this morning.
Present together with the Vice-Senior General at the opening ceremony were senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. Chiefs of ASEAN armies and senior military officers also attended the ceremony.Minister of Defence of Indonesia Mr. Prawobo Subianto delivered the opening address.
Afterwards, leaders of ASEAN and chiefs of ASEAN Armies gave talks on “Advancing Armies Collaboration towards ASEAN 2025 – Forging Ahead Together” in an alphabetic order. Afterwards, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian
Army General Andika Perkasa delivered an address and handed over the duty of hosting the ACAMM XXI to the head of the Brunei military delegation. Then, the ACAMM XX came to a successful conclusion. Chiefs of ASEAN armies posed for documentary photo.
After the closing ceremony of ACAMM XX, the Vice-Senior General held meetings with Chief of Staff of Indonesian Army General Andika Perkasa, Vice Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force Brigadier General Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Deputy Commander of Royal Cambodian Army Lieutenant General PRAK SOVANNA and Deputy Chief of General Staff Department of Lao People’s Armed Forces Major General Chanthong Sontaath separately in the afternoon and exchanged views on friendly relations and training affairs between the two armed forces including united collaboration between the armed forces in their respective sectors in implementing the ASEAN vision: “One Vision, One Identity, One Community” through mutual trust and respect between the two armed forces of both countries, continuous implementation to exchange information, cooperation in solving the issues through frequent bilateral meetings. After the meetings, they exchanged commemorative emblems.
In the evening, the Vice-Senior General together with chiefs of ASEAN armies attended the dinner hosted by Chief of Staff of Indonesian Army General Andika Perkasa.
First, the Vice-Senior General and wife, chiefs of ASEAN armies and their wives were greeted by the Chief of Staff of Indonesian Army and wife. They then had the dinner together. During the dinner, cultural troupes of the Indonesian armed forces presented traditional songs.
After the dinner, the Vice-Senior General and wife exchanged com-memoratives gifts with chiefs of ASEAN armies and their wives and posed for documentary photos.
