MYANMAR TATMADAW DELEGATION LED BY SENIOR GENERAL MIN AUNG HLAING LEAVES FOR VIETNAM TO ATTEND 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF NATIONAL ARMED FORCES DAY OF SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM, 75th FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY OF VIETNAM PEOPLE’S ARMED FORCES

MYANMAR TATMADAW DELEGATION LED BY SENIOR GENERAL MIN AUNG HLAING LEAVES FOR VIETNAM TO ATTEND 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF NATIONAL ARMED FORCES DAY OF SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM, 75th FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY OF VIETNAM PEOPLE’S ARMED FORCES

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Mingaladon Airbase this morning to pay a goodwill visit to Vietnam and to attend the 30th Anniversary of National Armed Forces Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Armed Forces at the invitation of Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Gaing, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The Tatmadaw delegation was seen off at the airport by Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Thet Pon, Deputy Head of Mission and First Secretary of Vietnamese Embassy to Myanmar Mr. Le Gia Thinh, Vietnamese Assistant Military Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen QuangTrung and officials.

In the delegation, the Senior General is accompanied by Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army).

On arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, the Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by the Senior General was welcomed by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien, Counsellor of Myanmar Embassy to Vietnam Daw Win Sanda Swe, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Aung Zeya and officials. 

During the visit, the Tatmadaw delegation will attend the 30th Anniversary of National Armed Forces Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Armed Forces, meet the Vietnamese government and leaders of the Vietnam People’s Armed Forces to discuss promotion of the bilateral friendship and cooperation and visit significant places.
