Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) Golf Tournament kicks off

The Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services’ Trophy Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) Golf Tournament 2019-2020 opening ceremony took place at Nay Pyi Taw Golf Course this morning, attended by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services. 

  
Also present on the occasion were Union Minister for Defence Lt-Gen Sein Win, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Ye Aung, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) and golfers from the contestant teams. 

  
First, the Vice-Senior General and party cordially greeted the athletes and posed for a documentary photo. 

  
When the tournament opened, the Vice-Senior General and senior military officers and Myanmar Golf Federation President U Ko Ko Aye teed off a smoke ball at Tee No.1. Then, the contestants from the respective teams took part in the event at their respective tees. 

  
Seventeen teams are participating in the golf tournament which lasts till 31 January. The event is taking place at Nay Pyi Taw Golf Course and Yaypyar Golf Course . 
The long drive match of the event was held at Hole No.4 at Yaypyar Golf Course on the morning of 29 January with the participation of 34 military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) and various military commands.
