Vice-Senior General Soe Win attends 11th DefExpo India-2020, holds meetings with Chief of the Air Staff, Chief of the Army Staff of India

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, who is  on a goodwill visit to the Republic of  India, on the morn-ing of 5 February arrived at  the Inaugural Hanger, Expo Venue, where the 11th DefExpo India-2020 would be held, and was welcomed by officials.

The Vice-Senior General  and party viewed military  weapons displayed at the India Pavilion & UP Pavilion in the area of the DefExpo India-2020. They were conducted round by officials concerned.

At the temporary parlour  of the Indian Air Force, the  Vice-Senior General held a meeting with Chief of the Air  Staff Air Chief Marshal  Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria of the Indian Air Force. Their discussions  focused on enhancement of further strengthening existing friendly relations and cooperation, implementation of tasks under the cooperation programmes agreed in the annual bilateral meetings between two air forces, and further promotion for exchange of experiences and knowledge at the expert levels between the two air forces. Then, emblems and commemorative gifts were exchanged.

Also present at the meeting  were senior military officers  from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and Myanmar Military Attaché to India Brig-Gen Thein Zaw. Then, they visited the booth displayed by the Indian Air Force.

At the meeting hall of the Indian Army in the area of the DefExpo India-2020, the Vice-Senior General held a meeting with Chief of the Army Staff of India General Manoj Mukund Naravanane. They discussed further cementing existing friendly ties between Myanmar Tatmadaw (Army) and Indian Army, continuous cooperation between the two armies, and cooperation in  border security, peace and  stability and development between the two countries.They exchanged emblems. Also present at the meeting were senior military officers from  the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army and Myanmar Military Attaché to India  Brig-Gen Thein Zaw.
