More narcotics, materials and related equipment worth over Ks-53 billion seized in Kutkai Township

It was reported in the 2 March issue of Myawady newspaper that security troops seized narcotic drugs and materials used in producing drugs and related equipment worth over Ks-38 billion in Kaungkha Village and its surrounding areas in Kutkai Township, Shan State (North), from 28 February to 1 March.

The security troops continued to seize 226 five-gallon containers of acid and 41 50-gallon plastic barrels of acid used in producing narcotic drugs, 1,310,000 pink-colour stimulant tablets with WY, R and 88/1 labels, 340 grams of heroin in 34 soap boxes, five blocks of heroin with 999 label, one packet of white powder, about 150 grams of stimulant tablet powder and one machine for making tablets from the store room and garage of an empty building at about 9.30 am on 2 March; 20 50-gallon plastic barrels of acid, 156 five-gallon containers of acid, 69 polythylene bags of white raw material powder, 275 soap boxes, 13 gas cylinders and 8 glass tubes around the area at about 10 am; one Wisson Power-brand generator, 14 50-gallon plastic barrels of acid, 10 five-gallon containers of acid and four polythylene bags of white raw material powder at about 1 pm; and 730,000 pink-colour stimulant tablets, 425,000 pink-colour stimulant tablets with WY, R and 88/1 labels and about 15 kilograms of Pseudoephedrine white tablets (estimated market price of over Ks-5 billion) from two empty buildings at 1.30 pm.

Likewise, the security troops seized 9,360,000 pink-colour stimulant tablets with 88/1 label, 14,000,000 WY pink-colour stimulant tablets, 5,280 grams of heroin (estimated market price of over Ks-48 billion) from an empty house 2,500 metres east of Kaungkha Village at about 9 am today and further 38 five-gallon-capacity containers of acid from a warehouse around 9.20 am.

Narcotic drugs, precursors and related materials worth over Ks-53 billion will be systematically transferred to authorities.

A total of 43,765,000 stimulant tablets, 87,540 grams of heroin, five blocks of heroin (weighing 1.6 kilograms), 150 grams of heroin powder, 12.5 kilograms of ICE (totally estimated market price of over Ks-90 billion), 63 items of materials and related equipment used in producing drugs (totally estimated market price of over Ks-1 billion) were seized in Kaungkha Village and surrounding areas from 29 February to date. Seized narcotic drugs and related equipment used in producing drugs totally amounted to more than Ks-91 billion.Security measures will be continued in its vicinity.
