More narcotic drugs, related materials used in drug production seized in Lwekham Village, Kutkai Township

Security measures and searches continued around Lwekham Village and nearby areas in Kutkai Township of Shan State (North), where narcotic drugs, materials used in producing the drugs and related precursors worth more than Ks-292billion were seized from 28 February to 14 March.
In this regard, 4,000 stimulant tablets bearing 88/1 label, two steel funnels, 1,056 empty soap boxes, two tablet mixers, two tablet making machines, three bottles of acid, ten bottles of hydrochloric acid, 16 glass beakers, 16 ceramic funnels, ten five-gallon-capacitycontainers of acid, 469 tablet pressing rods, 73 tablet pressing rings and 81,000 bags for stimulant tablets were seized from the basement of one-storey brick building owned by U Yaw Hsan, who had fled from Lwekham Village, at about 2 pm today.
From one shop, one warehouse and a two-storey garage owned by U Kyu Fa Kwe, who had evaded from Lwekham Village, at about 3.35 pm, the members of security troop seized 20 bottles of 500-gram-capacity of Sodium Chloride, 316 bottles of 500-gram-capacity of Sodium Hydroxide, 80 bottles of 500-gram-capacity of Ammonium Chloride weighing 40 kilos, 15 bottles of 500-gram-capacity of Potassium Chloride, 82 glass tubes, each of which contains 100 ml of acid, 113 packages of assorted glass tubes, 25 polyethylene bags of wax paper used in packaging stimulant tablets, 20 gas stoves, 20 ceramic funnels, 80 plastic funnels, 1,500 transparent plastic bottles, 287 tins, 150 white plastic containers, 180 plastic bowls, 250 plastic buckets, 350 plastic cups,five scales and 150 spades.
A combined team comprising security troops searched and seized 333 houses in Lwekham Village and surrounding areas from 28 February to date, seizing arms and ammunition, 132,269,000 assorted stimulant tablets, 264.18 kilos of heroin, 291 kilos of morphine, 1.6 kilos of heroin block, 16 kilos of opium oil extract, 12.65 kilos of stimulant tablet powder, 135 kilos of raw opium and 441 kilos of ICE with a total estimated value of over Ks-290 billion and 246 kinds of related equipment used in drug production worth over Ks-1.6 billion, which totalled more than Ks-292 billion.
Concerning the seizures of narcotic drugs, continued measures will be taken to arrest main culprits, those who fled from the scenes, those failed to inform the authorities, those who involved in the cases in accordance with rules and regulations, and the combined team comprising security forces is carrying out further thorough searches at the houses in the village which have already been combed while taking security measures of the region.
