AA terrorists are continu-ously committing terrorist acts such as mine attacks against vehicles of the Tatmadaw and aid groups under the UN along the roads, arson attacks, abductions and killings and tortures in Rakhine State.

On 13 March, while two Tatmadaw mobile columns were coming by car from Minbya Township to serve outerring security duties for ensuring peace and stability and for the students to sit their matriculation exam in a peace of mind in MraukU and Kyauktaw townships, AA terrorists blew up four remote mines near Paungtok Village on Yangon-Sittway Union Highway about 5,000 metres southeast of MraukU, launched attacks with five remote mines and heavy we-apons and small arms from the places near Teinnyo and TaungU villages. Moreover, the terrorists spread hand-made triangle-shaped nails all over the Union highway to bar cars from travelling on it. Hence, the Tatmadaw columns had no choice, but to shoot back at them to clear the road.

On 13 March also, AA terrorists attacked the Tatmadaw column that was going to serve security duties along the outer ring in the north of Kyauktaw Township with three remote mines and heavy weapons and small arms near Thazi Village on Kyauktaw-Paletwa road. The Tatmadaw columns fired back as it had become unavoidable.

During the incidents, some Tatmadaw officers and other ranks fell or received wounds, and some cars were damaged.

AA terrorists disguising themselves as civilians and staying at IDP camps are attacking Tatmadaw cars on administrative duties, ration supply trucks and material supply trucks of the projects and police outposts and battalions with mines, and laying roadblocks including pointed iron pieces to cut off transport. They are committing unlawful acts.

The Tatmadaw in cooperation with the local people is continuing its area security opera-tions for peace and stability and the rule of law in Rakhine State and to halt the terrorist acts of AA terrorists.
