Narcotic drugs worth more than Ks-18 billion seized again near Lwekham Village in Kutkai Township

Members of the Tatmadaw performing security duties in Kutkai Township, Shan State (North), searched the house of U Lauk Sein, son of U Lauk Kyan Shae in Lwekham Village on 4 April and seized 690,000 stimulant tablets bearing 88/1 labels roughly worth more than Ks-1 billion hidden under a pile of firewood. Similarly, security forces seized 8,240,000 stimulant tablets bearing WY labels, 420,000 stimulant tablets bearing 88/1 labels, 5 kilos of morphine powder and 5 kilos of raw opium roughly worth more than Ks-17 billion in total in the basement in the compound of U Law Yon in the same village this morning. 

The value of narcotic drugs and related materials seized in Kutkai Township from 28 February to date amounts to more than Ks-412 billion and plans are underway to hand over the drugs and related materials to relevant authorities systematically.
