Committee begins investigation into attack on WHO vehicle

It was reported on 21 April that AA terrorists attacked a vehicle owned by the WHO near Ramong Bridge in Minbya Township in Rakhine State on 20 April evening, killing a civilian staff and injuring another one. Concerning the attack, the President Office formed an investigation committee to take necessary measures under Notification No. 64/2020.

Members of the committee led by Chairman U Saw  and staff left Sittway for Minbya by Tatmadaw helicopter today and questioned responsible personnel at the security post and witnesses near Ramong Bridge. Then, the chairman and the members inspected the vehicle attacked during the incident and the bullet found inside the body of the killed victim, both of which were placed under safe custody at Minbya Myoma Police Station,  before questioning  responsible personnel of Public Health Department at the Office of the Township General Administration Department.
