The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, currently in Beijing of the People’s Republic of China, paid homage to the sacred Buddha tooth relic at 9 am local standard time on 15 November.
First, the Vice-Senior General, accompanied by Myanmar Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China U Thit Lin Ohn, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Tint Hsan and officials, arrived at the temple in the precinct of the chamber of sacred Buddha tooth relic and offered eight pre-requisites and alms to Deputy Abbot of the temple Fazhu.
Deputy Abbot Fazhu explained brief history of the sacred Buddha tooth relic, its journey to Beijing and Desana of the Lord Buddha and presented the Buddha image and stings of beads to the Vice-Senior General.
The Vice-Senior General offered flowers,water, alms and oil lights to the sacred Buddha image and paid homage.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by the Vice-Senior General arrived at NORINCO Company Exhibition Center at 10 am local standard time and was welcomed by Vice President of the company Mr. Yang Xiao Qing and officials.
At the parlour of the Exhibition Center,Mr. Yang Xiao Qing extended greetings to the Vice-Senior General and explained facts about the company through video presentation. Then, military weapons and equipment, tanks, armoured vehicles,rockets and facilities of air defence systems manufactured and distributed by NORINCO Company were explained. The Vice-Senior General signed the visitors’ book and posed for group documentary photo.
On arrival at the head office of NORINCO Company, the Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation was welcomed by General Secretary of CPC Committee of NORINCO Company Mr.Zhang Guanjie and officials who extended greetings at the parlour of the head office of the company. Emblems and commemorative gifts were exchanged.
The Vice-Senior General and party were hosted a lunch by Mr. Zhang Guanjie.
