Court-Martial procedures against Gutabyin incident begin
According to the investigation of the Court of Inquiry, established in accordance with the Defence Services Act and the Defence Services Rules, and chaired by Maj-Gen Myat Kyaw, the Court of Inquiry has given an opinion that some incidents at Gutabyin Village should be subject to Court-Martial procedures.
So, the Court-Martial procedures against the said incidents are being carried out in accordance with the Process of Military Justice. Moreover, the documentation of the Summary of Evidence is also underway, and further measures will be taken to seek legal advice, to set up a Court-Martial and to conduct a trial in the Court-Martial.
The Court of Inquiry will also continue to pursue the necessary task of investigations, according to the Judge Advocate General Office.
