Vice-Senior General Soe Win attends choice of arms for DSTA 22nd Intake, inspects convocation hall

The choice of arms ceremony of the 22nd Intake of Defence Services Technological Academy continued for second day at the DSTA in PyinOoLwin today. Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, senior military officers of offices of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) and officials attended and selected the cadets.
Vice-Senior General Soe Win and party met cadets individually and chose appropriate military arms of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) depending on their obedience, subject-wise qualification, hobbies and execution throughout the training period.
In the afternoon, the Vice-Senior General and party had the lunch together with cadets at Pyinnya Tazaung Hall of the cadet mess hall. Afterwards, they continued choice of arms for cadets.
They then inspected the Convocation Hall of the DSTA, and officials conducted them around the hall.
The Convocation Hall was built out of the old cadet mess hall in September, 2019, and renovation completed in December of that year. It can hold 900 people, and it was put into service in December 2019, hosting graduation ceremonies, as well as ceremonies to appoint the cadets and officers as commissioned officers, and performance shows to mark graduation ceremony.
