Two Bengalis arrested dead together with arms, ammunition, narcotic drugs near Taungpyo Village, Maungtaw Township

The troops taking security measures in Maungtaw Township of Rakhine State found two suspect Bengalis at a scene, about 6,000 metres southeast of Taungpyo Village at about 1.20 pm today.
The troops warned them to stop and accept inspection but those two Bengalis did not stop and opened fire with the use of a home-made gun brought along with them. As such, security troops responded to them with firing.
In searching around the scene of incident, the security troops seized bodies of two Bengalis together with one home-made gun, two 12 volt bullets, two improvised landmines, four Panasonic battery cases, wires, 29,500 WY brand stimulant tablets and related equipment.
The seized narcotic drugs will be handed over to Thayakon police outpost systematically, and measures of controlling the region will be taken continuously.
