Performance programme of Myanmar music and Thabin artistes given to mark 72nd Anniversary of Armed Forces Day

Vice President U Myint Swe and wife Daw Khin Thet Htay and Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla attended and watched a performance programme of Myanmar music and Thabin artistes held in commemoration of the 72nd Anniversary of Armed Forces Day at the Thabin Hall of Zeyathiri Villa here at 6.30 pm today.

Also among the audience were Union Minister Lt-Gen Ye Aung and wife, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San and wife, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, officers, other ranks and their families and invited guests.

At the performance, the veteran classical vocalists sang Myanmar musical songs,Mandalay Thein Zaw-led theatrical performers Myanmar traditional orchestral music and songs, marionette dances and a variety of dances.

After the performance,the Vice President and the Senior General presented cash awards to the veteran classical performers and Mandalay Thein Zaw-led theatrical troupe. They will continue their performances at Zeyathiri Villa on 18 March and at Nay Pyi Taw Transit Centre on 19 and 20 March for officers and other ranks from Tatmadaw parade columns.
